Herbal Facial Steam $18

Add approximately 1/4 cup to a quart of boiling water and allow to simmer for a minute or two.  Then remove the pan from the stove and place it somewhere where it's comfortable to sit while kinda hunched over for 5-8 minutes (I like the dining room table).  Place the pan on a heat-proof surface like a trivet or hot pad.  Then take a nice, heavy towel and form a tent over your head and the pan while leaving your face about 8-10 inches above the water.  It's best to do this for several minutes and sometimes you'll need a breath of cool air so it's okay to lift a corner of the towel for this.  Remember, this is about pampering yourself, not suffering!


You can even stay under the towel as long as you like, but maximum benefit is achieved after about 8-10 minutes. 

If you have a cold, you can throw in some eucalyptus oil and make it an amazing lung AND pore opener!
